VStylez "Respect" ft. Skyzoo [ 14KT RMX]

My man VStylez hit me up and asked if I would be down to remix the lead single "Respect" off his album Thornton Melon. Vstylez set the record off sounding like a gladiator on the mic with Skyzoo when I first heard their verses! So I fed off the gladiator energy and put the beat together. From the dirty rugged drum sounds to the grinding bass synth. When an artist sends me a record to remix, if I haven't heard the song before, I usually don't prefer to listen to the original version first. Creatively, it helps me build the track with no prior influences - which is more fun for me. I remember when I sent the remix back to VStylez, he loved it and said that he was thinking about making my remix the main version on the album. He decided to keep the original version for the digital release, but this remix made the Thornton Melon vinyl.
