14KT "Blessed" off my album, A Friendly Game of KT
I decided to do a video for "Blessed" because around this time, spiritually and mentally I wasn't doing too well in my personal life. I created two videos for this album. The other video "Width", was put together from random personal videos I discovered on my cellphone. Shout out to Andy Madeleine who shot and edited this one really dope. I remember we shot this around February because my family would go visit my pops grave in Michigan around that time (I buried my father on Feb 14th).
When I thought about being blessed, I wanted to give everyone a mini-photo album of candid moments that I get to experience daily. As "normal" as these things may look, I thought about how many people don't get to live the opportunity of what many people may consider a "normal" life - hence the title.
Most of the video wasn't planned. Andy and I just met on University of Michigan's campus to visit my favorite record store Encore Records in Ann Arbor. I called Jamall Bufford up, who randomly happened to be watching a basketball game down the street and he stopped through. I also shot at Second Baptist Church of Ann Arbor (my home church), my parent's crib, then rolled up on my older sister Kendrah working at her day spa in Canton. My brothers Vaughan Tego and Magestik Legend stopped through my basement studio in my crib in Ypsilanti.
Big Thank You goes out to Mello Music Group who showed me love and helped me share this album with ya'll physically (Vinyl, CDs)
