This is the first video Athletic Mic League ever shot! 

 

Due to some miscommunications with our label at the time Barak Records, and the video director Dominic - the label never ended up officially releasing the video. 😣 If ya'll only knew the half of all the struggles artists go through coming up. Smh. We had fun with this one though. We shot parts of it on University of Michigan's campus in Ann Arbor (the spinning cube). We also shot parts in 40 oz studios where we used record at, and in Lansing, Michigan.

 

I can bet that many people don't know I began my journey in music as an emcee first, not a producer. That's me rapping first in the video. I used to braid my hair and rock a fro - looking like Scotty Appleton off the movie "New Jack City" with them hats.
