Ten years ago.

It was a wild year for me. I lost my father a few months after the Big Tune Finals in Chicago, but this was one of the best moments I had. After I ended up winning the National Red Bull Big Tune Beat Battle at the end of 2010, I was blessed with the opportunity to meet and record with the LEGEND Bun B of UGK. Much love and appreciation to Bun B for just being down to even link up with me.

We recorded this song in June of 2010 at Red Bull Studios in Santa Monica, California. I remember I was mad nervous that day. In my music career up to that point, I hadn't really worked with any artists on a high caliber level as Bun B. I thank God for the experience because it definitely helped me learn how to develop into a better producer. Me and Bun ended up creating a song called "The Life" mostly based off the conversation we had in the studio. 

Shout out to Vitamin D, Jake 1, Jonathan Moore (R.I.P 🙏🏽) and all the homies/friends I made from being a part of Big Tune throughout the years. I appreciate all ya'll and are still amazed by the music you guys are creating now. Love.
